How to Make the Perfect Cup of Tea

1. Select high-quality tea

 

Needless to say, if you want a high-quality cup of tea, you must have high-quality tea. There are several great brands available in the market to experiment with and different variants to choose from.

 

Tea can be broadly classified into three sections, namely, black tea, green tea and white tea. Black tea is commonly paired with milk and sugar. 2. Pay attention to the water

 

You have to make sure you use clean water to preparing your cup of tea. If the area you live in has hard water, consider the option of using bottled mineral water.
Boil your water well before adding tea leaves. If you are preparing green tea, wait till the water cools a bit before adding the tea leaves. This will enhance the taste of your tea.

 

3. Adding tea leaves

 

When you add tea leaves to the teapot, make sure you use a clean and dry spoon. You preserve the quality of your tea leaves this way. Add one teaspoon per cup. Follow the directions given in the package if you are unsure about the amount of tea you should add to the pot.

 

4. Steeping the tea

 

The next part is brewing the tea. Most people let the tea leaves steep for an extended period of time in the hopes of producing a stronger cup of tea. This is a mistake. By letting the tea steep for a longer period of time, you make the tea taste bitter. If you want a stronger cup of tea, you have to add more tea leaves, but remove the tea leaves from the pot in 2 to 3 minutes.

 

5. Additional information and tips

 

Enhance the taste of tea by adding milk and sugar. Sweeteners such as honey can also be added instead of sugar. Keep in mind that you have to store your tea leaves in an airtight container away from direct sunlight.
